Activities
Our work combines several areas:
Social Development
We support local communities across Belarus in growing and improving their initiatives. The goal of this direction is to unite people around local activism, help them defend their social rights, solve community-level problems, improve infrastructure and participate in public processes at the local level.
Human Rights
We work to protect civil rights, counter discrimination and strengthen the value of human freedoms. After the 2020 crisis, our organisation provided assistance to more than 500 affected individuals.
Ecology and Environmental Protection
We carry out projects aimed at nature preservation, combating pollution and responding to climate challenges. Since 2015, we have implemented both local and large-scale environmental campaigns. The organisation does not support the launch of a nuclear power plant in Belarus.
Education
We promote additional learning in ecology, urban development, local governance and community-based organisation. We hold events, workshops and training programmes that help people increase knowledge and strengthen civic capacity.
Information and Media
We produce and distribute independent information reflecting real events in Belarus. We work to combat misinformation and state or foreign propaganda by providing accessible and fact-based content.
Culture and National Identity
We promote the Belarusian language in communication, support national cultural events such as Freedom Day and Dziady, and popularise national symbols through public campaigns and cultural activities.
Participation in Electoral Processes
From 2009 to 2015, the organisation engaged in independent election monitoring. We nominated candidates for local and parliamentary elections and supported independent candidates during the 2010 signature collection campaign.
